The Inclusive Souvenir
Participants of the Inclusive West Kowloon Community Engagement Programme will each receive an inclusive souvenir. The coaster showed delicacy from the design to the production process, aiming at further promoting the Inclusive West Kowloon Community Engagement Programme and the message of inclusion integrated in the programme.
Design Concept
The sensory design of the souvenir stimulates the sense of touch, allowing a dynamic appreciation angle in addition to the sense of sight. The coaster comes in three different designs:
Bamboo Pattern Design - Inspired by the M+’s bamboo furniture
The design of the M+ architecture reflected the architects’ reading of the unique typologies of Hong Kong’s architectural landscape and the bamboo design took reference from the informal structures found throughout Hong Kong.

The design of ceiling of the atriums of the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) is a contemporary interpretation of glazed roof tiles on top of the grand palaces inside the Forbidden City, giving the space a sense of poetry and ethereal feel.

Curvilinear Pattern Design - Inspired by the architectural design of Xiqu Centre
The Xiqu Centre architectural design embodies the essence of xiqu, with the concept of ‘flow’ or ‘qi’ interpreted in the fluid movements of the building and the use of curved planes, arched openings and circular paths.
