Chinese Lantern DIY Workshop @ Home

 

The Inclusive West Kowloon Community Engagement Programme is co-presented by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Christian Family Service Centre, sponsored by the Yau Tsim Mong District Office of the Home Affairs Department. The Chinese Lantern DIY Workshop is extended and becomes the Chinese Lantern DIY Workshop @ Home. The programme will be giving out free Lantern DIY Kits (refer to Reference Photos 1 and 2 for details) to organisations and schools, supplemented with a tutorial video; members of the community are welcome to participate in the programme, create unique lanterns and be introduced to customs of the traditional Chinese festivals through celebrating the Lantern Festival together.

 

Interested organisations and schools can apply for the Lantern DIY Kits by returning the below registration form via email to the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority on or before 31 January 2023. Organisations and schools completing the workshop are required to share selected activity or product photos with the Authority via email on or before 31 January 2023. Points to Note:

  1. Registration Arrangement:
    1. The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (The Authority) will contact the organisation/ school via email/ phone to confirm the receipt of the registration form;
    2. Limited quota is available; participants will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis, with a priority given to people living, working or studying in the Yau Tsim Mong District. Actual Lantern DIY Kits offered to each organisation/ school depends on the number of organisations/ schools applying for the programme;
    3. If the number of registrations received exceeded the number of quota available, participants will be selected based on the arrangement listed in 1.2
    4. The Authority will be sending out “Confirmation Email” to successfully registered organisation/ school to confirm the participation.
  2. Participating organisations/ schools must share activity or product photos (3 – 5 selected photos) with the Authority via email on or before 31 January 2023.
  3. Materials included in the Lantern DIY Kit may vary, the kits will be randomly distributed and photos are for reference only.
  4. Organisation/ school must provide accurate mailing address, contact number and contact point.
  5. If the Lantern DIY Kit is damaged during the mailing process, a return will not be arranged.
  6. The Organiser reserves all right to the event.
  7. In case of disputes, the Organisers reserves the rights of final decision, including changing of the activity’s details and its terms and conditions.
